Living Cookbook makes it easy to enter your recipes. You can type them in, scan them (using the OCR software that came with your scanner) or copy them from the Internet. The software also makes it easy to transfer your recipe collection from other recipe management programs such as MasterCook, Meal-Master and BigOven. | 
You can print your recipes on any paper size supported by your printer. This includes US Letter, A4, index cards (3x5, 4x6 and 5x9) and many more. You can even print on Avery 5389 (two perforated 4x6 cards on an 8.5x11 sheet) and Avery 5388 (three perforated 3x5 cards on an 8.5x11 sheet). | |

Living Cookbook 2008
As a chef I am always on the lookout for software that can help me not only to keep my recipes tidy but to provide me with costs and nutrition.
When I found this software I was amazed how it could mot only do all this but help maintain my larder and even add my favourite shops and their price.
I recommend it to anyone who is a professional and any that is just crazy for food.

Easy to use. It makes importing recipes very easy. I would recommend this software to anyone interested in organizing their recipes.
 Errors in the nutritional values calculations July 16, 2010

Watch out. This program has some major bugs. The worst I found was that the nutritional calculations in the calendar entries frequently aren't using the quantities of the ingredients you input or see on the screen. Sometimes the error is obvious cuz the calories are just crazy high or low. But I wonder about how many more values are wrong but just not so hugely wrong that the error is obvious.
By the time I figured out it was a program error causing the problem, the return window was closed. I wanted a refund from the company since the erroneous nutritional values made the program of little use to me and clearly meant the program wasn't working as advertised.Took a long time to get customer support to acknowledge the problem, but to their credit they finally did and will supposedly send a refund.
Supposedly they will fix the problem in the next release. Although I tried the work around the programmer sent me and it didn't work.
And....this is just one of at least 3 big problems I was having with the program. Dunno if they have acknowledged or fixed the other problems.
I'm gonna fight for my refund and get a different program.

I have been looking for a good program that allows me to customize nutritional data on recipes for quite some time. Many programs provide good information but did not allow me to add detailed nutritional information on products I needed to add.
Living Cookbook is the most comprehensive software I have found at a reasonable price. I think basic users will have no problem using this and it allows users with more computer and nutritional experience customize the data to our hearts content. It even calculates Points for those on the Weight Watcher program (I'm a lifetime member so this is really nice).
I would highly recommend this software to anyone who wants user friendly recipe software with a serious nutritional kick.

I was hesitant to buy a recipe software, since what I wanted was so much more than is usually offered. Boy was I surprised. This software has it all - almost - lol. It is great. I can add my recipies, add ingredients, show what I want, and the search is great. Good job guys!!!
